Chocolate Brown Caddis Pupa
This signature caddis pupa fly is used near the end of the caddis hatch. At this time of the year the caddis are smaller and darker, and there is little caddis activity other than early morning and at night. This tiny fly uses a size 14 hook, and sometimes down to a size 16 hook. This is a dark pattern as the caddis are nearly black in colour in the last two weeks of the hatch. It catches a lot of fish, but doesn’t land them all as it is such a small fly.
