The best option for International travelers, and often for Canadians flying in from destinations other than Vancouver or Calgary, is to fly into the Spokane International Airport (GEG), rent a vehicle, then make the scenic 3 hour drive. The Frontier-Paterson Border Crossing is open 24 hours a day. It connects Northport Washington with Rossland British Columbia via Washington State Route 25 and BC Highway 22.

The West Kootenay Regional Airport (YCG) is located 9 minutes from downtown Castlegar with daily flights to Vancouver and Calgary through Air Canada Express. The airport also serves private aircraft. Car rentals are available through Budget Car Rentals, and for larger groups a shuttle service is available. The airport has a restaurant and is located next door to Chances Casino.
The Trail Regional Airport (YZZ) is located 11 minutes from downtown Trail and offers up to 3 daily flights to Vancouver through Pacific Coastal Airlines. All flights utilize the convenient South Terminal in Vancouver. The airport also serves private aircraft. Car rentals are available through Practicar, and for larger groups a shuttle service is available.
