Red Blue Prince Nymph
The Red Blue Prince Nymph is one of Rod’s signature flies. Rod fishes this fly in the spring, early summer and into the fall. It is very productive in April and May in the back eddies, and is fished 4, 6, or even 8 feet down if the fish are that deep. It also works well on sinking line in the runs, and well as a swinging fly. When the fishing is tough this fly is visible from a distance and can entice the trout to take a bite when little else can.
